New Term

Term has started. I wasn't looking forward to it but I'm taking it as a chance to start some new things and have fresh ideas. One of these involves starting a student zine, a publication that brings together art, music, illustration, photography, graphics, writing and reviews. I want it to be different in that it is completely inclusive and people can write about the most trivial things as long as it is with passion (much like some of the random stuff I spew here), but I'd also like it to be really visually exciting, with people collaborating to create something really beautiful. I'm a bit nervous about it but I'm hoping it will start well.

I also want to use this term to learn to be comfortable with myself and my situation. I've wasted so much time wishing I was someone or somewhere else, trying to impress people without even realising it. Now I've realised this is ridiculous, I've looked back on things I've said to people (mostly guys...) in the last few years and been embarrassed. I don't like heavy metal, I'm not interested in organic food particularly, I don't hate children, and I don't want to wear designer clothing.... and I do love 80s music and wearing purple trainers and having short hair.
