Concrete bliss

I went to see Metropolis in the modern part of Trinity College this evening. There is so much in that film to think about and get ideas from. The part that struck me immediately afterward however was the surreal feeling of leaving the building and finding myself in the modern Wolfson Court... just look at the similarities:

I felt like I was still in the film... Then I came out onto Trinity Street and "reality" - how strange to be part of the future that the makers of Metropolis thought about, yet still be wandering around centuries-old architecture, buildings that makes me feel part of a long history and tradition. It was great to have some time to cycle slowly in the dark.
