Sound waves

Psalm 19 says:
"The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
    no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
    their words to the ends of the world."

It makes me think of an idea someone once told me - that if sound is transmitted by vibrations through molecules and disperses outwards, our speech must be spreading out and out through the universe. And maybe sometimes the laws of chance mean those sound waves come back together again, so ancient kings' voices can be heard on other planets. Or maybe when the universe falls back into itself at the end of time, all our words and speech will rush back towards us, and we'll hear our history backwards as everything ends.
